Cake Wrecks

November 7th, 2008

I have been going through some serious refined-sugar withdrawal over the past few days (thank goodness I’m in the wedding industry so I get to have cake every now and then). To combat my reduced-sugar blues and have a good laugh I headed over to one of my favorite sites: CakeWrecks.com. I found this site a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is it’s hilarious. If you want to mock cakes gone wrong or drool over the occasional whimsical confection, check it out. The site is strangely addicting…kind of like cake itself.

That’s one of my favorite sites, too! I love it!

I completely hear your sugar blues! But why do you have them? Are you trying to cut out sugar? If you need help with that at all, come on over–I have many sugar-free recipes and tips on how to cut out the white stuff. There are so many natural sweeteners out there that will satisfy….however, having gone all year so far without sugar, I have to say that I seriously miss eating cake. The store-bought kind with the thick, shortening kind of frosting. There is really no substitute for that kind of eating experience.

    Loved the cake wrecks site!

Unfortunately my triglycerides are high, all due to heredity. My doctor thinks carbs are the culprit, so I’m trying to cut out sugars and refined grains. Tough.
